Launch of the official website of “Made in Bangladesh Week”

The official website of “Made in Bangladesh Week” – has been launched containing detailed information about the event to be held in Dhaka from November 12 to 18 this year.

The week-long event will be organized by the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) in partnership with Bangladesh Apparel Exchange (BAE) to promote the Bangladesh garment industry globally internationally, according to a press release.

It aims to showcase impressive stories from the sector, especially its remarkable advancements in the areas of workplace safety, environmental sustainability and worker well-being.

Along with telling encouraging stories, the potential of the Bangladesh RMG industry, its strengths, capabilities and future priorities to remain a preferred and competitive choice for global buyers will be highlighted among global stakeholders and audiences. .

The event will open a dialogue among participating stakeholders on how Bangladesh’s RMG sector continues its growth momentum in a sustainable manner and can have a positive impact on the economy, environment and people.

Made in Bangladesh Week will bring together a wide range of industry stakeholders, including representatives of home and partner country governments, international organizations, employers, private sectors, labor representatives, civil society, brand representatives, buyers and academics.

The International Apparel Federation (IAF) will host the IAF Convention in collaboration with BGMEA and the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA). The annual World Fashion Convention will bring together IAF members, including apparel industry associations representing 40 countries, major brands and other stakeholders.

While BGMEA’s flagship event, the 2-day 3rd Dhaka Apparel Summit will be held for a dialogue on the progress, outlook and sustainability of the RMG industry in Bangladesh as well as the global dynamics of The fashion industry.

BGMEA Chairman, Faruque Hassan said, “In an effort to highlight the progress made and together inspire the industry and its valued stakeholders on the path to future prosperity, the BGMEA, in collaboration with some partners, organizes the Made in Bangladesh Week 2022”.
